Lake Mayfield is one of the largest fresh water lakes in Washington and offers great fishing for avid and amateur fishermen alike. The lake is a popular retreat year-round and offers consistently good fishing, thanks in part to water levels that fluctuate no more than ten feet over the course of the year. The lake offer 1250 acres of water surface to explore, and nearly 34 miles of shoreline. You will find several top varieties of sport fish, including coho salmon, Chinook salmon, rainbow trout, brown trout, cuttroat trout, crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, brown bullhead, bluegill, tiger muskie, and yellow perch. Rainbow trout and coho salmon are especially prevalent, as they are stocked by Tacoma Power to help increase use of the area. Whether you are an avid fan of sport fishing or just looking for a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, fishing on Lake Mayfield cannot be beat.
